Dean has been with Earl & Brown for 3 years in the warehouse, but was recently promoted to Radio Technician/Customer Support. Here is a short bio on him!

Introduce yourself!

I’m Dean Sharp. I currently hold the position of Customer/Technical Support for the Radio Team here at Earl & Brown. Nice to meet you 🙂

How long have you been at Earl & Brown?

I started working at Earl & Brown in July of 2011 as a general warehouse employee. Over the following 3 years I worked my way up to become the Warehouse Amazon Distribution Center Lead. In July of 2014 I made the move into the office as a part of the Two-Way Radio team.

Take us through a day in Dean’s world at EBCO

Before the work day actually begins, I like to set the mood with a selection of music to get me through the day, usually movie soundtracks or something soothing. When the work day begins, I can usually be found going through radio returns and issuing credit memos with which our wonderful Accounting staff can work their magic. I probably spend the largest portion of my day programming radios for various customers. The rest of my day is usuallly spent communicating with customers giving them the information they need to better serve their customers.

What’s your favorite color?

Pink. No, really, it’s pink. Ask anyone here.

What music is playing in your car right now?

I’ve been known to listen to almost anything (almost), but what usually ends up getting the most play time in my MP3 player is 80’s hardcore punk and thrash metal, having been a part of those communities in my youth.

How do you spend your weekends?

I like to read whenever I can, usually horror or historical biographies. I love to cook, but haven’t done it as much as I’d like recently. Other than that, I love going to the coast, or travelling in general with my girlfriend whenever we can. I like watching movies (romantic comedies, horror, talking animals), but I spend most of my weekends teaching my cat to walk down the hallway on his back.
